Church Planting

Taking the Gospel to Every Corner of Columbia, and Beyond

First Presbyterian Church desires to be a sending church that is active in using the resources God has given us to work towards fulfilling the Great Commission. We believe that planting and multiplying new local churches around the Midlands is the most effective and strategic way to reach new people, new generations, and new demographics.

A New Church in Lexington, South Carolina

Our newest church plant held their inaugural worship service in Lexington on January 12, 2025. For now they are simply known as the "Lexington Church Plant," and they are committed to three core values: gospel, family, and mission. If you would like to get involved with this new work, please check the church plant website for the latest information on when and where they are meeting.
Jeff Tell has over 15 years of experience in pastoral ministry. He has served as the Senior Pastor of churches in both South Carolina and in Los Angeles. He takes great joy in seeing how God uses ordinary people in ordinary churches to do extraordinary things. Jeff is married to Aubrey, who works part time as a Family Physician in Lexington. They have four children: Judah, Naomi, Ezra, and Leah.
